Lafarge Asphalt Technologies (LAT) is a division of Lafarge that specializes in the supply, specification, and modification of liquid asphalt and therefore plays a key role in providing a wide range of asphalt pavement products to meet the needs of our customers and the industry as a whole.
Liquid Asphalt (bitumen) is a viscoelastic material typically used in road construction and often preferred thanks to its ability to withstand temperature fluctuation and its excellent adhesive qualities.
These properties help bind aggregates together, providing strength and durability.
Regional Asphalt Laboratory
The Regional Asphalt Laboratory is a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory that supports LAT in new product development and quality control. The Regional Asphalt Laboratory is AASHTO R18 accredited.
